"the farm" -- name yet to be determined

View of Hilo Bay from our Property (old pic)
Our property in Pauka'a consists of 20 acres and is zoned agricultural -- agricultural activity is required. While this page has the nebulous title of "the farm", it will most likely end up being the most important section of the website in the future or, perhaps, even become a website of its own.

It is currently uncertain exactly which fruit and spices we will be planting on our property.  We will also be adding some livestock, such as hair sheep to aid in control of vegetation and various types of poultry to aid in insect control and to produce eggs.

Watch for news about developments on the farm!

One of our dogs, Lola, exploring before the lot was cleared. It was jungle-like in places with numerous trees & brush and elephant grass at least six feet high in some places (although clearly not that high here).

We are starting fruit trees and rootstocks from seed in our greenhouse (under the bench) for the farm. Here are some pulasan seedlings.

This is the pulasan fruit for those who may not have heard of it. It is sort of a 'less hairy' rambutan but sweeter and more flavorful. The flesh resembles lychee.
